If you want to service cars on schedule like aircraft?

With cars, you drive until a part fails with the exception of certain maintenance procedures like changing oil, coolant/anti-freeze, transmission fluid. A few things are changed on a schedule, like the drive belts in Japanese cars.
This is usually acceptable because you just call the tow truck if the water pump fails.
With aircraft, this is not acceptable because you don't want a crash.
Therefore, if such philosophy were applied to cars, what would you change on a schedule?
ECU? At 100,000 mi??
Water pump? At 75,000 mi??
Alternator? At 75,000 mi??
Fuel pump? At 125,000 mi??
Transmission? At 150,000 mi??
Engine? At 200,000 mi??
Opinions or advice?
