Greetings! I too am looking for rims, summer tires & BSR PPC for the '06 SC V6 Aero 6sp. I've read from earlier posts that there is some torque steer present for the SS and Combi. I would assume it would be more noticable for the convertable. I don't get the sense it's as strong as for the Viggen. Being that I have not had '06-07 convertable experience, perhaps someone who has will fill us in.
I would like to run 18" rims/tires if possible. A post on another forum (I spoke with) has 245X35X19 (yes 19's) on his '06 SS (largest size he could put on w/o any rubbing - he works for a tire dealer and could experiment- wants to protect rims from pot holes as much as possible- yea). He likes them, says handling is crisp Would imagine it's a hard ride. I don't want 19's but 18's are possible. Is this a good idea? What size rim/tires would you suggest for best light performance ride (low noise, pot-hole safety)? Offset also? Any suggestions on strong, sporty rims? I've used Ronal in the past but want to look at other designs too. Any help would be appreciated. Need to keep speedo accurate. Any new information on the PPC addition? I'm still researching Maptune, Nordic etc. Once again, the input from the SAABNET folks is very appreciated, a great group!
