The 2003 may have a little original warranty left (the 2004 definitely does). If so, then if you go with the 2003, the first thing you do is take it to a dealer and get everything checked (and fixed if necessary) under warranty.

Now, as to which one, I just picked up on '04 convertible about 2 months ago (low mileage). My neighbor just picked up an '03 about 2 weeks ago (VERY low mileage, about 12K). The two cars, aside from the name, are completely different as you know.

In my opinion, the older convertibles are very nice and look great. The newer ones have more bells and whistles (xenons, etc..) and are more solid feeling but I think you'd be happy in either.
