Your story is not the least bit surprising. I drive that stretch of I-80/90 a few times a year to visit in-laws in Michigan - was just on it 3 weeks ago. I get very similar MPG figures in my '05 93ss Linear with A/T, even with 2 adults, 2 kids, and luggage. My favorite is going east from Toledo to the PA Turpike with a good tail wind. The terrain between Detroit and Cleveland helps too - pancake flat! The enitire trip from VA to Wisconsin and back 3 weeks ago, including through Chicago city streets on the way out, averaged 33.6, with a high of 37.2. Cruise is usally set at 70-75 on the interstates.

But hey, we don't want too many people to know, right?
