Has anyone replaced the trunk lid emblem on their '03 or newer model 9-3 SS? My understanding is that both the hood and trunk emblems are just held on with the adhesive backing on the back of the emblem. After the dealer replaced both of mine at no charge (decals were chipping away), the metal under my trunk emblem is now ever so slightly concave. I told them the tech must have applied too much pressure there while prying off the old emblem. The service advisor told me he can't see how that would occur since the trunk lid emblem is held on by two fasteners accessed from the rear of the panel. I call 'bs' on this claim, although I didn't tell him that yet.
