Ok here is the story with my 2003 Saab 9-3 Vector which started Yesterday.
Wife gets in the car monday morning to go to work, starts the car but the right front headlamp doesn't fire up. She turns the car off to restart the car right away and now when she trys to start the car the starter will not engage. There is nothing, no click no sounds just dashlights. So I drove her to work in the 06 9-3 aero which I bought last week cause this saab has been working flawlessly. Yeah. So after I dropped her off I went back home and kept playing with the car trying to start it, I have a spare and tried that a couple times and after 3 or so trys the car started like normal and ran fine. I shut the car off and tried the original key when this all started and works and runs fine, so now I feel all better something geeky happened.
Well this morning something even more weird happened. She called me from in the car and said that the car is running really weird. So I ran outside to see and the car is running weird missing every three seconds, all the dummy dashlights were on and the headlamps were auto adjusting over and over again. We shut the car off and tried to restart and now im at the point where the starter will not engage. So I pulled the battery for an hour tried again same thing.
Dammit!, :) any ideas guys on possible issues, im thinking the ECU took a dump. Im going to take it into a local shop tomorrow, they have the tech 2 and say they have all the saab software so maybe they can give me an idea cause the nearest saab dealer is 40 miles away. Thanks guys for any idea.
