Congratulations. I think you made the right choice.
Saab is crazy to charge the same $$$ amt as BMW. Nick_c it's not about looks. It's about engine design, suspension, and r&d. The 9-3 is based on the GM Epsilon platform (aka Opel Vectra and Cadillac BLS in Europe, Saturn Aura and upcoming Chevy Malibu). The BMW 3 series is based on ... the BMW 3 series ... much more highly optimized for performance. Plus the vert is a "hard top."
The Saab, on the other hand, will perform well in the snow and get slightly better gas mileage. But for them to go toe 2 toe w/ BMW on price is quite simply a bad business move. GM's exec's should know better. It makes me mad because foolish decisions like this hurt Saab, which eventually hurt us.
Saab, wake up! Look at how successful the 9-3 has been. Why? Because at around $25k it's an AWESOME price/performance ratio. Keep it that way, ok?
