I know I'd rather do an engine swap on a 10K mile car than 100K mile car. Wiring harnesses are much easier to deal with than vacuum hoses, of which older cars had many more than the Saab (or any modern vehicle) does. At least one can't usually plug a wiring harness in wrong--the plugs are almost always designed to fit only in the right sockets.
Last year I helped with a shadetree replacement of an engine on a 10 year-old car with 150K and much tighter engine clearance--the only casualties were the power steering pump (it started leaking when it was removed from the engine), the vacuum hose to the heater controls (made of plastic and it broke), and the balljoints (which probably needed replacing anyway).
If we could obtain those sort of results doing a shadetree replacement of an engine on a 10 year old 150K mile car, I'd except a dealership replacement of an engine on a 1 year old 10K mile car to go flawlessly.
