I said I wanted to offer 22K out the door, but I balked when he asked if I would buy the car that day at that price. That's basically about 20,600 before all the taxes and fees. What I wondered is if the salesman will hold me to that figure when I go back to drive it and inspect it carefully.

Like I said, 05 Aeros are rare in my area. I can get one a few hundred miles away in Chicago for less, but there's the inconvenience and added expense of retrieving the vehicle, and time spent if there's something I don't like about it. This one is here now and there aren't any others within 300+ miles.

I'm going to to dealership tonight. I'm going to try and lower my re-counter and see if the salesmen will take it to his manager.
