I got my '07 programmed to enable the light switch to function normally (i.e., turn the lights OFF), and keep the AC off on startup (I think that is done in SID but I didn't know it at the time). This was done at no cost but I believe there was a time limit for the free adjustments (like 1 month after purchase). It was done soon after purchase since my "time for service" message was on when I bought it and so I came in for a reset. If you search the archives I think you will find there is a common "window of opportunity" that most dealers use. All new car buyers should be aware of this and get the changes done early to avoid the cost.
