Nailed it right on the freakin' head. I guess if they haven't resolved the issue for '08 that probably means "feature" rather than "problem". Now it would be great if someone who's familiar with the trans to describe WHY it is so clunky when cold (fluid type?, linkage temp effects?). [pause for the usual deafening silence].
I've never seen this behavior in another car but I've grown to tolerate it as a quirk that I can work around to satisfy myself that I'm not damaging it in the long run doing cold shifts. Dlr just says......(you guessed it)....."normal".
Also, not sure what the deal is with the Cadillac comparison. What potential SAAB customers go over to the Caddie dealer to check those out? (perhaps its just me but I'm thinking....no way). I can't say I've driven one lately but all prior Caddies I've driven have handled like...battleships (not seeing the comparison)....and the SAAB is hardly a "pimp car" though the new caddies still have ties to former incarnations. Not saying its a bad car....just seem like different demographics going on here.
