HB,
I would go with a 2005 or newer model. the Arc and Linear are great cars and ride and drive great. I also have a 2003 Aero. Very cool but the ride is harsher than the other models. Also the 2005 and newer have all the bugs worked out of them. I have had some issues with the 2003. The Linear gets incredible mileage. It has the lower boost turbo and is a little less powerful than the Arc turbo but I get low 30's in town and an incredible high 38-39 mpg on the highway when I go 65-70. When more people figure this out they will become scarce with the cost of gas. I have 91,000 on my 05 and only had to replace the power steering pump. Otherwise regular maintenance which I do myself. Oil changes are easy as the filter is on the top of the engine. Dealer wants $120.00 and I do it myself for less than $35.00 with synthetic oil. When you change the brake pads buy aftermarket ceramic pads. Work great and no DUST. Hope this helps.
Jeff
