A new experience with a car - after driving on a highway for 10 miles, stopped at a trafic light and when pulling away the car just rolls for about 30 seconds before starting to accelerate. Gas pedal all the way in, RPM did not change from idle at about 1K. After painfull 30 seconds full acceleration. Did the same a few times, check engine light came on and then was driving normal. Took to the dealer who told me that air sensor was disconnected and I had a new aftermarket air filter (I had it for 5 years actually but they don't beleive me). They connected the sensor, cleared the light, charged me $106 and said everything is fine. About half an hour later same thing happens again but only once. I was thinkging that transmission gets stuck in overdrive and software protects the engine until it shifts into correct gear. I tried to simulate by using manual mode but did not help. Any ideas?
