People are very happy with both and many have both, but I do really kinda' like the 9-5 interior, even with the darkwood that comes in the 05 Arc. The 9-5 has a lower cowel height or a lower windowline than the 9-3SS for an airier cockpit. I'm also a big(ger) car guy as I prefer and mid-size as opposed to the smaller versions of all European cars.

To me 9-5's seem to be more solid than 9-3SS', that is a 9-3SS can be a lotta' work and dealer visits to keep the interior tight and squeak free and I think the aluminum rear suspension doesn't feel quite as solid as the steel pieces in the 9-5.

Also I think the 9-5 motor has more punch down low and finally I think the styling on the 9-5 has more character, the reverse curve of the roof line, the combination clam shell side view mirror, and is less generic than the 9-3SS.
