Rebecca did you get anywhere with your dealer? If you paid them to perform work, the work is usually under its own warranty (check the paperwork you walked out with that day). If you paid $1000 to have the top fixed, and two weeks later it's broken, the dealer should have fixed it again. Usually this period is 30 days but it may vary by dealer/shop.
I find it incomprehensible that any dealer would tell their customer what you've written here and in other posts. You should expect them to honor their contract with you, the customer. If they refuse, you should treat this as breach of contract and protect your rights as the customer.
Additionally, if the quotes you're listing here from the dealer are verbatim, I would inform Saab USA. Your dealer experience is very different from mine and others on this board, and I'm certain Saab USA would want to be aware of the dealer's treatment to their customers.
