I was going from memory (bad idea) on the C900 MSRP costs and had a recollection of finding the original bill of sale (or perhaps it was in the owners manual) for my second hand 1987 900T hatchback that I got the impression it had a $30--35k sticker price (it had rose quartz paint w velour seats, sunroof, auto windows/locks, stereo w/ equilizer). Sooo....I stand corrected if they were actually sold for under $20k. Nice car.

Regarding my reference to the Aero having the same "look and feel" of the 2.0t...I wasn't referring to performance on the road (clearly the aero is the better performer when it comes to power and handling)...rather I was referring to the interior plastic etc that seem to be the source of many complaints about "cheapness". While the aero seats are a vast improvement, at least to my eyes the interior has the same "look and feel" among both cars.

As for "pricey upgrades", when I was shopping (at the start of '07 model year when there were no deals) the difference between an Aero and a base 2.0T was $6k and that just seemed pricey to me for what it offered (YMMV).

Now I will go back into my hole :)
