And will you have a little extra cushion left over after buying it for repairs? The 2.8t has proven to be pretty reliable so far, but not many people have gotten up into that mileage range with them yet, so the reliability is sort of unknown. If you've looked under the hood of a 2.8t, you will see that it is quite literally shoe-horned into the engine bay, which makes this a labor-intensive engine to work on IF something goes wrong. If the car is at the tippy top of your price range and you're not going to have a dime left over for any surprise repairs, it could be risky. On the other hand if you've got a steady income and a repair wouldn't put you living under a bridge, it could be a great car for you! Good luck with your decision.
