Just a few days ago I noticed the back light of my SID seemed unusually bright. It's mainly noticeable at night, simply because it stands out more in the dark. My SID seems to 'glow'. I can clearly make out where the normal background (green) and warning (orange) indicators are. I can read the lettering just fine, but the background is annoyingly bright. I drive on the highway at night and use the night panel quite often. Lately the SID is so bright it's distracting, even when using the night panel button.
I also notice it when I get home at night and lock the doors. It will continue to glow for a few minutes after locking the car.
I've tried dimming the dash, but that only dims the lettering, not the back light.
Is the light sensor on my dash not registering that it's night out and dimming the contrast? I've searched around here and elsewhere on the net but haven't found anything similar.
