No, it's not that we think you're lying. At least not down here. It's just that even if we could duplicate it and call Technical Assistance about the concern, I think the answer would be "those 6 speeds shift funny don't they". Downshifting is done in two stages at times. That may be what you are feeling.
The adaptation can be set back to zero with a tech2. and then it will readapt after about 15 minutes of driving at various speeds. I have yet to see one of these fail, but probably 60% of owners note the odd shifting. I think they all shift oddly, but not all drivers notice. At least you should have the dealer document your concern while you are still in warranty.
