Update for my recent post about an incredibly annoying issue where the wipers chatter across the windshield of my practically brand new '09 2.0T. I've been through 2 sets of OEM blades and 1 set of Trico Neoform blades. STAY AWAY FROM THE TRICOS. Not only do they chatter horribly, the actually blade attachment makes a clicking noise every time they move across the windshield. Incredibly annoying. So annoying to the point where I'd just turn my wipers off in rain and wipe only when I really had to.

Was at Costco today and saw Goodyear Assurance blades for $7 each. They looked beefy and had accordion-like rolls above the wipe point to ensure silent operation. I said "what the heck" and bought them (24" size for both driver and passenger). Plus they came with fittings for my 9-3 wiper arms. Put them on the car, and PRESTO! NO MORE CHATTER AND QUIET AS A MOUSE! We shall see how they perform in the coming months, but I think these are the best blades yet.

Another hypothesis: I had been using the Rain-X "2-in-1" formula of washer fluid. It occurred to me that this might be an issue due to the crappy stuff that Rain-X products contain (possible build-up on windshield). So I drained the rest of the fluid (was low anyway) before installing the new Goodyear blades and filled up with plain old blue fluid. Hopefully that takes care of things!

Just thought I'd share my experiences if anyone else is having or will have the same issue in the future. Happy SAABing!
