EPA MPG and Reg fuel on 2010?

The EPA Fuel Economy site shows the following (for 2.0T 6 spd SS):

The 2010 is 21/31, 24 combined, on Reg fuel.

The 2009 is 19/29, 23 combined, on Reg fuel.

The 2008 is 19/28, 22 combined, on Prem fuel.

Does anyone know if there were ECM changes or anything else that would actually result in better MPG and allow use of Reg fuel in the later year cars? The jump in Hwy MPG on the 2010 is especially interesting.
