More or less 'common' issues on those are coolant expansion tanks, ignition coils, front wheel bearings.
Less common but potentially expensive would be fuel pump, and electrical communication issues that are starting to pop up. These seem to be sensitive to aftermarket free-flow air filters and alternator voltage output.
Early ones with the fibre-optic stereo have expensive components. Xenon headlamp assemblies are pretty expensive.
Had one customer with a 60k V6 sedan that rock chips wore a hole in the exposed A/C condenser that sits in the front bumper opening, maybe consider putting some mesh screen over it to protect it.
Do the routine maintenance on these, I recommend plugs every 30k (to see if we can make the coils last longer) and serp. belt & tensioner & automatic transmission fluid every 60k (do the trans. fluid every 30k if you drive the car hard).
Don't mess with aftermarket belt tensioner, the labor is a pain on that job and you don't want to pay to do it more often.
Make sure the air filter stays clean, the AMM on the V6 cars seems finicky.
Other than that, they're kind of a wait-for-something-to-break-then-fix-it kind of car, pretty darn reliable unless they've had something happen to them.
Most of my problem cars have front end accident history.
