The one you're looking at is an SE, the dual power seats is the tipoff. Other tipoff SE features are the ACC, digital climate control, memory drivers seat and upgraded stereo.

Someone more clever than I can deduce from the VIN if your SE stick has the more powerful "HOT" engine, but IIRC the 1999 SE sticks where the ones with the first HOT motors.

Some little corner of my memory says there were a very few 9-3 "S" models, sorta' a transition model between the NG900 and 9-3 with turbos and cloth, but only a handful, a very rare bird, or my memory is faulty, probably the latter......
