No Crank .. But not the Starter.

I'm been trying to diagnose a worsening starter problem on my 2005 93-SS.
It's a 4 cyl Arc, 5 speed manual.
On start, everything seems ok but no crank. This is intermittent but seems to be getting worse. I think it happens more when the car is warm. If I leave it for 10 min it seems to recover but suspect eventually it will strand me.
All the indicators seem full brightness, newer battery, all the right clicks. Just no crank.
I'd been assuming that it was a starter/solenoid on the way out but it isn't. Managed to get a voltmeter on the starter solenoid actuator feed today while it was acting up and there is no voltage there when the key is turned while the car is acting up. Once it recovers the start voltage looks fine.
On a last century car I'd assume the start relay. Don't even know if there is one on this car of if it is solid state and in a module somewhere?
The other thing I was thinking about was a brake or clutch lockout switch going bad. Not sure if this car even locks out the starter. Note it's a stick shift. Did have the codes pulled when this was happening and there wasn't anything odd.
Anyone have any ideas? It's hard to get my local indy to look at it as it's always perfect when I take it in!
Thanks!
