Since we see no evidence of head gasket problems on these engines the problem you mention might just be from an engineers/science standpoint that it could happen.
Since the bolts are also TTY bolts you should not loosen the and retorque them but replace.
This was only a problem with the 97 to 2001 engines in the 900/9-3 and 9-5 since they used a bad head bolt and also not torqued it to spec from factory.
