You will need the lock assembly for the 9-3SS, a Tech-II with software that can access the correct lines in the BCM, and a lot of luck.

I don't remember when the BCM software ceased carrying the lines of code that need to be activated by the Tech-II. It may have been halfway thru the '05 model year (which means you may have a chance) or it may have been halfway thru the '04 model year which means no chance at all.

GM kept changing the software in the Tech-II devices and removing capabilities with each software update that they felt were no longer needed, or that they wanted to remove (such as the ability to delete the DRL feature).
