Doesn't matter. Posted by B Millar [Email] (#1109) [Profile/Gallery] (more from B Millar) on Thu, 6 Dec 2012 10:49:40 In Reply to: Rain sensing - wiper brand?, Curtis, Tue, 4 Dec 2012 05:09:08 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
The car senses rain using an optical sensor at the top of the windshield in front of the rear view mirror. It measures the refraction of rain drops on the outside surface of the glass. The resistance of the blades doesn't matter, just that they make a clean swipe. I like Trico's Teflon Shield blades.
As for the greasy film, try using vinegar and newspaper to buff instead of paper towels.
