Passenger Wiper not working - busted wiper linkage Posted by Randy Thatcher [Email] (#22) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Randy Thatcher) on Sun, 30 Dec 2012 07:52:50 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
2006 9-3 2.0T Sport Combi, owned since new, and I love the car.
My wife ran over some bump and the passenger wiper stopped working. That night I pulled the wipers and part of the plastic cover over the wiper bits and saw a loose part. For lack of a better term, I called it the "dooflickus shaft". See the silver linkage in the picture below. I snapped it all back together, put the cover and wipers back on, and tested my work. Fantastic.
Fast forward a few days, I hit a pothole that was invisible with the snow on the ground, and the bang knocked the dooflickus shaft off again. The passenger wiper was halfway up, so it was fighting the driver side wiper. Long story short, I'm betting this is not a snap on part, something must be busted. Any clue on what part to order, or any tips on making the aforementioned dooflickus shaft stay on without throwing big money at parts?
