He probably mean the fuel pressure sensor Posted by SWEDECAR [Email] (#112) [Profile/Gallery] (more from SWEDECAR) on Sun, 3 Feb 2013 18:04:02 In Reply to: There isn't one, Chadwick [Profile/Gallery] , Sun, 3 Feb 2013 16:03:52 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
The mechanic might have used the wrong terminology which we all sometimes do. P/N 12582232
Like I have mentioned here before, it is very common that the fuel pressure sensor goes bad on the Volvo's and since the price is so much less than the Saab one and that it is really easy to replace, we throw a new one in and let the customer drive the car.
If the problem comes back, it is time to replace the fuel pump.
I have replaced far more fuel pressure sensors on the Volvo's than fuel pumps.
But it sounds like here that it is more fuel pumps replaced on Saab's than pressure sensors?
I have a couple of V6 customers that triggers the P0089 code but none have elected to have it fixed yet since the car is running without any problems.
