DWS is on a couple of different Conti tires. I recently got 2 different sets of "DWS" Contis, both good so far.

Conti PureContact DWS "EcoPlus"
Touring tire, I guess comparable to the stock "P6 4-Seasons" that came on the 2009 sedan. Nice smooth, seem better than the P6 tires. At 3/32 to 4/32 the P6 were beginning to hydroplane in water & they really sucked in snow even last winter. Of course the new Contis are good in water, but they're better in snow than the P6 were when they were new.

Conti ExtremeContact DWS
Switched the 2010 combi to 17" and got these tires. They handle a lot better than the stock P6, but some of that is 17" vs. 16". Got caught in some snow before installing the snows, & expected them to suck because of the size. In spite of expectations, they were OK.

Both of these are pretty new, so I don't know how they'll be as they wear down.
