So not two weeks into owning this car two leaks have erupted from the front end. First I noticed red fluid on my garage floor, which turns out to be transmission fluid coming out of the front driver side axle seal. Then I was getting big spots of stinky green hydraulic fluid from the transfer case.
I brought it to Mitchell Saab (which I think is the last official Saab Service center in CT, and is literally a mile from my house) and to my surprise the transfer case leak is still covered by the GM power train warranty! It's not considered a repairable leak so Saab is sending a whole new transfer case (score). Axle seal is covered under that too. Upon inspection, my dealership also found that the bushing/yoke on the front of the drive shaft is all goobered up and oozing grease. Also not a separate/repairable part, the whole stinking drive shaft needs to be replaced. My aftermarket warranty company is sending an adjuster to check on that because they don't want to pony up the $975. Whoops!
At least I have excuse to drive my C900 convertible in this nice weather.
