We will be tkaing a vacation to the East Coast to see the kids later this summer so I thought today would be a good chance to install the billet aluminum Coolant Tee I purchased from Justin at Strictly Saab, as well as refresh the Dex-Cool for the second time.

Draining the coolant from this car was no easier today than the first time I did it, and I was surprised by how little drained out. I removed about 3 quarts total when adding the spillage to what remained in the drain pan. The WIS says this engine contains 8 quarts of coolant so I expected to remove 4 to 5 quarts of old Dex-Cool.

What do others remove?

And I also discovered I made a HUGE mistake last time I changed the oil and only replaced 5 quarts! Oil was still on the lowest bulb of the dip stick, thank goodness. Luckily I stumbled onto an oil sale at O'Reilly's this morning when I went there to get one quart of Mobil-1 0W/40.
