I just had a FOUR PARAGRAPH response allll typed out and it got deleted by the spam filter because I mentioned another Saab forum. CURSES. I'm going to be brief and cut to the chase.
Buy the kit linked below.
There's a nice thread on Saab C.entral about how to remove the center vent. Most of the squeaks come from the vent itself so take it apart and cover all the clips and tabs with white lithium grease. DON'T use silicone lubricants. It embrittles and stains plastics.
Another source for heavy squeaks is where the center console dives into the dash. Take the side panels off the console, loosen the screws at the connection in front of the shifter, and spray them with white lithium (re-screw). It's like a new car!
Use adhesive-backed felt anywhere you can, but many of the tolerances are too tight. So just use white lithium from the can. Mine is still squeak free months later.
