NG9-5 Coolant Hose Compatibility to NG9-3 (2.8L v6)

Brett posted back on Aug 7th about crossing over a NG9-5 coolant expansion tank hose to his TX expansion tank. I received the three hoses listed in EPC for the NG9-5 to experiment with fitment. Below is a pic of the three.

pn13241977 for $0.83
pn13310060 for $6.47
pn13220153 for $4.85 (Brett used this hose)

All three hoses are smaller diameter ends similar to the metal coolant pipe so they do need to be stretched out in order to fit over the larger expansion tank nipple. All three have heat shielding over them.

Looking at them and matching up to a 2.8L Aero in the shop, the 13241977 would be the best fitting hose for the turbo coolant return line. Yes, it only runs $0.83 list price. The 13220153 seems to fit very well length wise.

Since the actual 9-3 hoses are backordered and you can only get replacements right now by buying the tank kit, this is a reasonable and cost effective solution for sure. I will continue to keep an expansion tank kit in stock though as I commonly find the new updated ceramic tanks leaking at the midseam.
