I'm sure you know it, but the speed index letter is just that : an index. It's a way of expressing the difference between compounds more than a real speed limit.
So back to your question. If I were you, I'd choose the Goodyear. Why ? The Nero I had on the 9-5 were sticky but became noisy long before they were worn. So I sold them used to a guy tracking a 944.
And the g-force (made in Thailand) I had on the Golf were real sticky first, but when old, they were hard as glass. On water, it was possible to spin them easily. However, wear was even.
Both tires were v-rated in 225/50R16 (Saab) and 205/50R15 (Golf).
