Hi all. Just bought a 2004 9-3 Arc with 54K mi on it, and shortly after I brought it home, I had this problem. Either the SID & radio both work . . . or they don't. It's hit or miss: sometimes they work when I turn the car on, some times not, and sometimes when it doesn't work and I'm driving for a while, they start to work.

I've read all the posts about the amplifier under the driver's seat going out, and that's not the issue: it's not there, and has already been bypassed. I gather the best bet is to hook Tech2 up and see what the issue is, but I've got a very short warranty from the private seller and pretty sure his mechanic doesn't have access to it. I'm worried he's just guessing what's wrong and trying things out (to his credit), but it's starting to piss me off and really waste my time with all the back and forth.

Question: has anyone had a similar thing happen, and if so, what was the cause? Thanks in advance, and thanks for everyone's insight on everything Saab thus far! :)
