I'm currently running GE Nighthawk Platinum 9003 bulbs on my 02 9-3 SE and there's a slight increase in the brightness of my headlights at night from behind the wheel with a slightly whiter light output. As Roger said, the reported trade-off with these 'brighter' bulbs is a shorter life, especially if you have them on all the time. For my car, I'd read as short as 6 months but mine have lasted about 2 years so far.
