I use them Posted by Chadwick [Email] (#569) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Chadwick) on Mon, 17 Feb 2014 18:50:44 In Reply to: Michelin Pilot Super Sports/Reduce Harshness?, SaabAficionado [Profile/Gallery] , Mon, 17 Feb 2014 16:31:17 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I use them on my supercharged '09 BMW M3. They are definitely a very high performance tire. OE on the Ferrari 599 I believe. I tracked them for a few events last season and put them through many heat cycles and they wore well. I burn through two 265/35/19 rears every 5000 miles, but the fun is worth it. Run the Toyo R888's now on separate track wheels. When new I could plow through driving rain at very high speed without hydroplaning with the PSS which was nice. Don't even think about taking them near snow.
For what you are looking for I would search for a touring tire with a softer sidewall, maybe even go up one sidewall size to add some more tire between the rim and road. The PSS isn't going to give you any comfort, but you can safely turn some laps at Daytona.
