The first generation of these engines had some issues of both guides and tensioner and if left alone, it will ruin the engine when the timing chain lets go.
The engine might also need a new crankshaft sprocket while the work is done so it is one of those repair estimates that keeps going up all depending on what is found.
One I did a few years back came up to about $2000.00
