Happens to all of us.

I do not recall ever seeing an ad or reading about a Viggen specialty shop in my 16 years of Saab ownership, and reading multiple Saab BB's. At least not in the US. Abbott Racing in the UK might qualify but I assume your friend is in California.

I found it ironic last Spring when I took my Viggen to K & N Automotice in Ann Arbor, a Saab Specialty shop for 35 years, and discussed my car with Nick, one of the shop owners and a former Viggen owner himself, that he had never seen a Steering Rack Brace before. Apparently these cars are rare enough that even specialty shops only see a few of them.

A couple of interesting Viggens in the classifieds now at reasonable price, and a couple others that recently sold.
