This is a common problem on our CD changers. Usually more pronounced in the cold weather the problem just seems to worsen with age. Although cleaning the lens with a CD cleaning disc may help, I suspect a dirty lens really isn't the primary cause of the skipping. Also, I don't believe putting the cleaning disc in all of the slots will help either; there is only one lens to clean. I've been tempted to remove my changer and take the cover off and try to lube the guides that the lens assembly slides on as it tracks from the center of the disc towards the outside. I don't know that doing this would help but I've often found that this has fixed computer cd drives that had difficulty reading cd's reliably. I had the CD changer out several years ago when I added a Motorola TK30 Bluetooth Interface and I had a terrible time getting the HVAC panel out without marring the surrounding dashpad. This seems to be dissuading me from taking it out again but I would really like to fix it as I find that CD's sound considerably better than any source connected to the AUX-IN input.
