I have used Continental Extreme Contact DWS for the last two sets on my 9-5. The current set is the DWS 06 version. Happy with these.

My wife's 9-3 has worn Pirelli P7's for the last three years or so. A HUGE improvement over the P6 tires which came on her car from the factory.

My son needs to replace the tires on his GrandAm before winter and cost is a major concern for him. We decided on BFGoodrich G-Force Sport Comp 2 A/S tires for his car. TireRack has these as the second highest rated Performance All Seasons, higher rated than my Continentals and priced $30 less per tire too. Discount Tire tried to get me to consider Falkens rather than the Goodrich but I know nothing about them. There are inexpensive tires, and cheap tires. The tricky part is finding a good to very good tire for an inexpensive price. Cooper tires used to fit this niche with some models but they are now priced at the same point as the big name brands.
