I acquired Saab #10 (my first 9-3) a few months ago, '06 Arc Vert 2.0 Auto tranny 74 Kmiles, I might be able to help on a few of your points. On the SID issue, it sounds like a loose wire or sensor (there are many) connection. Other than the error message have you used a Tech II or other diagnostic tool to see if any codes are indicated? Also suggest checking the hydraulic fluid level, reservoir located in the trunk area.
This car creaks and moans like no other car I've had, I've gone through checking the fittings and suspension as much as possible, found that the new rear brake pads the previous owner had put in backwards (outer/inner), fixing that helped with some of the noise. The bump stops in the rear springs are almost dust, plan on putting the new ones in next week or so, that should help, still suspect bushings though. Finally, turning the ACC system off via the fan control is a two-step process: hold fan speed button until the fan is off, then release the button and press it once more. Hope that helps, good luck.
