How to add GM Block Sealing Tablets to Cooling System? Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Sun, 26 May 2019 13:45:29 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I ordered a card of the GM Block Sealing Tablets to see if they eliminate the low amounts of coolant detected in the engine oil. I haven't received the tablets yet so maybe this question will be answered when the card of tablets is in hand, but how are they to be added to the coolant system?
Crush the tablets or use whole?
Add the tablets or powder to recovery bottle?
Disconnect upper radiator hose and push the material into the radiator?
My plan is to add the material, drive 500 miles, then change the engine oil which will have 2K miles on it by then. Use this oil for 3K miles, change again and collect a sample of the 3K mile oil for testing. Compare these results to the previous oil sample test results, compensating for the reduced mileage when comparing PPM values.
Thanks,
