If it runs on High Speed only, it is likely a bad fan motor speed resistor. If it won't run on any speed it is likely a failed fan motor. The suddeness of the on-set and no other symptoms may indicate a different issue.

Search for my old posts on how to replace one of these motors. The fan speed resistor/controller is attached directly to the Motor. The same disassembly steps are needed regardless of motor or resistor.
