Just use a Quarter to fit in the slot then pry gently Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Sun, 17 Nov 2019 05:05:45 In Reply to: Re: Several options, Barry Muller, Sun, 17 Nov 2019 03:32:24 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Maybe a spray of silicone at the inboard corners of each door first as they can be a little stiff. Still got your SPG?
"I have also heard that you can retrofit a combi with the optional factory roof rails by buying the necessary spare parts from a dealer or OEM Saab parts retailer. Then you would use different cross bars to attach to these rails. This is likely the most costly path."
Yes, this was possible in the past but I don't know if all the parts are still available. This requires new roof trim strips with large rectangular holes to accommodate the roof rail feet, which will need to be painted to match the car (pre-painted strips were only available in 2006 - 07), plus the roof rails. The factory installed rails anchor in different locations than owner installed demountable rails, regardless if SAAB brand or Thule brand, or others.
