New Clutch, parts questions Posted by Sondeen [Email] (#796) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Sondeen) on Sun, 1 Dec 2019 09:37:43 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
It getting to be time for a new clutch in our 2006 9-3 SC. Last October it began to show signs of slipping in 5th gear under very high boost / acceleration. About 14k later, slipping is starting to become more frequent, and in third and forth gear now and then.
Based on prior discussions on Saabnet, for parts I am planning to order:
clutch disk & pressure plate,
flywheel,
master cylinder,
slave cylinder,
the hard hydraulic line to the slave,
the flexible hydraulic line to the master cylinder,
engine rear main seal.
I have a few questions about possible additional parts.
Should new flywheel bolts be used? Or is it ok to re-use the old bolts?
Is there a transmission input shaft seal that should be replaced? I can't find a PN for it listed by any suppliers.
Are there any other seals or parts that are recommended for replacing? For example, I see Eeuro lists a Disconnection Valve 55563644, and a Clutch Tube Retaining Sleeve 90522038 which I suppose are for the hydraulic lines?
Thanks
