Headlight yellowing Posted by Pete [Email] (#2000) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Pete) on Mon, 3 Feb 2020 14:44:08 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I recently resprayed my daughter's 2005 SAAB 93. Fixed some rust spots over the rear wheels, etc. Happened to get some overspray on the headlights. So used some "gunwash" thinner i had on hand to remove the over-spray.
Not only did the over-spray come off, but it removed the yellow oxidization too!
It left the headlights slightly milky looking, but polished them with headlight polish and they appeared like new! (Could probably use car wax polish to do same).
No sanding required. No expensive kits.
Thought I'd share my experience. (Use the gunwash sparingly with a "cloth" cloth - no papertowels).
