2003 Vector 283000+ miles
Read where the sludge issue effected 1999 - 2002 B205 and B235 engines.
I pulled the valve cover to replace the timing chain guide, part of it is plastic, and didn't see any sludge, in fact, the valve area and parts were golden in color. I took that to be a good sign.
Only aggravating issues I've had with the vehicle are the balance chain and the secondary air injection. Replaced both along with the sai hoses and valve. Engine still vibrates on occasion and the engine light remains on indicating SAI code. Grrrrrr.
Synthetic 0W-40 oil change every 5K.
