What to change while timing cover is off?

My indy told me that my balance shaft tensioner is bad.
I have ordered the tensioner and all the guides and bolts that I could see.
I am wondering, while the cover is off, if I should change more things like the timing chain tensionner, timing chain, balance chain and gear?
For changing the timing chain, do we realy need that Camshaft adjustment tool (that I cannot find anywhere)?
About that Front crankshaft seal, does anyone have the seal dimension? I have an old receipt and the size written on it is 17.00 X 30.00 X 7.00 mm
it seems pretty small, maybe it was for something else.
Also my water pump is starting leaking (slowly). should I change it while the timing cover is off? Is it going to be a lot easier? I mean no need to remove the thermostat housing, catalytic converter and cross pipe?
Thank you!
Michel
